Moderation

If you have answered the question: "What is public interest journalism", you may or may not be ready to answer questions regarding the location of that journalism.

The journalists and citizen journalists competently practicing public interest journalism are servants of democracy.

They attempt to encourage the appropriate moderation of all potentially excessive actions and reactions.

They suitably support civility.

They know that politics is not a game.

They know that legitimately democratic politics expresses appropriate leadership, in the public interest.

They know there is no political legitimacy without that leadership.

How does your patronage support enlightened moderation, particularly moderation in the form of appropriate editorial decisions?

How well do you act as a moderator, and how do you know?
